Playground Surface

The playground surface fully depends on the equipment you have had installed there. If there is a possibility of falling down from somewhere the surface should be soft to prevent your child from getting hurt.

In an indoor playground the best playground surface would be a furry and soft carpet. So even if a child is not playing, he or she could just sit or lay on it and feel comfortable. The only problem with that kind of a surface is that it might be time consuming to keep it clean as children tend to get things dirty. But seeing your child happily sitting on a carpet and for example reading a book might be a good enough reward for that.

About outdoor playground surfaces, the selection might not be as easy as more factors have to be taken into consideration. Firstly, of course again safety and whether it imposes any harm if a child fells. Secondly, what kind of maintenance it needs and how will it look when the weather conditions are not good and last but not least how much it smudges the child, which means how dirty their close will be after they finish playing. So considering your preferences sand, rugs or different mats can be chosen.
